About the Team

Creative Manager, Writer, Photographer

Wayne J Pan is a firm believer in the amazing transformative capabilities of globetrotting, Wayne has spent the past decade traveling – and in the process, has managed to remake himself from a strategic management consultant to a communications specialist to an English teacher to a near-broke 30-something (yes, THAT guy) still living in hostels. Along the way, he has visited over 30 countries, lived in five cities on three continents, befriended a dozen flight attendants, received a Masters degree from four schools, and become disturbingly less fluent in English. Now, with his mind set on maintaining his mobile lifestyle while clawing his way back to the good life – or at least one that doesn’t involve shoving dirty laundry into the corner of a suitcase – he is again readying his backpack for another trip of a lifetime. This time, he hopes that his friends can provide inspiration for yet another transformation, one where perhaps in the future, staying in hotels and occasionally flying business class may be plausible.

Project Manager

Young Kim has a love for people and a curiosity for their personal stories. He spent six baffling years pursuing a Wall-Street career, making other people wealthy, all the while daydreaming about bungy jumping and skydiving. Dissatisfied, he abandoned banking to serve the community as an affordable housing consultant, then as a program manager for a local non-profit. Recently, sparked by a desire to experience the spectacular (see and jump off big things), Young took a clue from his friend Wayne and spent three months backpacking through Australia and New Zealand. Somewhere between crossing the Outback and climbing Mt. Doom, Young rediscovered his love for hearing the how, why, and where-to-next of fellow globetrotters. At some point in the future, Young will probably find himself at the forefront of some socially-conscious entrepreneurial endeavor, but until then he will be joining forces with one of his best buds Wayne to backpack across the globe to capture a slice of our world viewed through the lens of 1 guy, 1 suit, 4 weddings and 4 countries.
